I read the 115 page online Concur Technologies preliminary prospectus in the pdf format. I thought the overall tone was very negative on future earnings and risk factors. This seem to be reflected in the anticipated ipo price range($9.5 -$11.5). Even with this in mind, I placed an indication of interest with E*TRADE for the following reasons.

1) I wanted to get a feel for how the IPO process works with E*TRADE.
2) Very little chance of disappointment, since my expectations are already low based on the company prospectus.
3) Any improvement in the earnings forcast may lead to a sharp upswing.

What is your feeling on the strongly recommended minimum 30 day holding period by E*TRADE and the potential of being excluded from future ipo offerings if you exhibit shorter holding periods?

Things look promising -- I just stopped by Etrade's IPO page to check on CNQR, and it reads: "E*TRADE is no longer accepting new indications of interest in this offering. " It's a good indications that CNQR is at least sufficiently subscribed already, a whole week before the actual open.
