Wren:

...and a very experienced investment advisor should have issued a buy with the proviso that it should be bought on dips.

I've subscribed to IW for only about four years so cannot speak to the advice he may have given prior to that but 'buy on the dips' or 'don't chase any of our stocks' have been two of his favorite mantras. If he sometimes overenthuses on a particular stock, especially when initiating coverage, I tend to remain a bit circumspect.

Certainly JD should not be the sole source of one's investment advice but that is true for anyinvestment newsletter or advisor...heck, sometimes I second-guess my own independent financial planner for whose advice I pay considerably more than for IW. I also subscribe to several other newsletters, do my own DD and still screw up from time to time.<gg>

Wren, even CPAs get it wrong sometimes...not often but sometimes ;-). I know this because I have been a consultant to one of the ABC partnerships for a couple of decades.

Wolf
