Hi OJ,

things are getting pretty interesting in semi land. Isn't it ? What are your buddies telling you ? My sources are pulling their hair out to find out what the heck is happening in the market.

Some food for thought;

1. Zero or low inventory in the chain.
2. Strong demand.
3. Memory prices are firm or inching up, hard disk price is firm or inching up. CPU prices are firm and inching up due to shortage.

Knowing all these you would imagine that the price of computers to stay stable or inch up. However, they are dropping prices including.. your favorite DELL. Which makes one to conclude;

1. All major manufacturers want to increase market share at the expense of margins.
2. They want to be generous and sprinkle customers with gift :)

Some one is lying big time... I sure hope that it is not box makers :)

Later,

Suresh
