Les here is something interesting related to taxes. It has to do with the sale of the New England Patriots to Hartford Conn and the taxes levied against the community to support a team. We had this same thing with the Oakland Raiders in Ca. Its bad enough taxes are used to redistribute wealth from wealthy groups to poorer groups but when it goes from the middle class to the rich... come on!

"How much money should states and local govs pay to lure teams - use of public funds to encourage private enterprise"

Kraft (owner of Patriots) paid up to 17MM year for any unsold seats, he will net around $100MM at taxpayer expense.

BTW the gov of Conn (Rowland?) is a republican and supports the deal.
