I am sorry to be so slow about it. I don't always have the time to keep up.

From the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

The founding father made a lot of statements in these few words. They set forth truths and said they are self evident. In other words they assumed that these truths were so obvious that they were recognized by all without comment, and at that time they were. They could not conceive of a time when so many would deny that God even existed. They said that of these truths one is that all men were created equal and that there is a Creator (God). Also with being created we have certain unalienable rights.

unalienable=inalienable= "not able to be given away or taken away"

The they say "among these rights are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness". They name some of the foremost in their minds at the time but it is not an all encompassing list. There are more rights. When the constitution was written later some of the most important were recorded but that list was not considered at the time to be all inclusive either.

But now we have lost all of the unlisted rights and the anti-God forces are hammering away at the listed right of freedom of religion (and the right to keep and bare arms). But it is not to prohibit all religion, just christianity. In fact, it is a similar process as the way the catholic church bottled up christianity for a time in history in favor of rituals and servitude. I am getting too long here. There are the principles I spoke of.
