Maryland is exactly the kind of team Stanford can't handle. Lots of quickness in the front line. Last year the nat'l media pointed to the absence of quickness in Stanford's backcourt as their achille's heel but that was misdirected. Arizona/UConn had the front court quickness that Stanford just can't handle. Young/Madsen/Sauer are very strong but very slow. And the only quasi-quick guy they have up there, Mendez, won't play today.
