Brian, you were right all along. Better? Some of those who "called"
for AMAT at 12 were right, too. They pointed out that if AMAT were
valued at previous down cycle PE and PSR, the price would be 12.
One thing I learned from our discussions here is that such rationales
don't always come true.

You said >>Equities, particularly the big tech names such as
MSFT, INTC, CSCO and AMAT thoroughly outperform the averages over time and it
pays to buy on significant pullbacks, although this will run counter to what "they" will
have you believe. Listen to them at your own risk.
<<

I'd like to add that sometimes non-tech stocks can rival the
performance of techs, although it may be harder to predict.
Here I show SWY and JNJ over 5 years vs MSFT and AMAT...

Some may even prefer a stock like JNJ for the LT, because it comes
without the timing headaches.

What has happened to the civility and open minded dialog that once was the hallmark thread of SI. Have we gotten to the point where we
are resulting to malicious personal attacks concerning the opinions/beliefs/strategies of others who dare to disagree with
the current popular "opinion". Ok if it makes you feel better, shout
down opposing views, soon enough there will only be a few active
posters left to cheerlead each other on, the others of us will be
elsewhere less "censored" where free opinion provides alternative/open
minded insight and perspective.

Disappointed,
BB

Brian: you're rude, and out of line:

You were bullish when the stock was 54, and it went down.
You were bullish when the stock was 44, and it went down.
You were bullish when the stock was 34, and it went down.
You were bullish when the stock was 24,
and it went up,
and you crowed about your success.

Let's be clear about the history here. I've been reading your posts for a very long time. You had no money to invest at the bottom, if you followed your own advise, because you had already bought heavily, on margin, long before the bottom.
