Ed--Another item that virtually all lists leave out/off is a pressure cooker and replacement seals. A pressure cooker will cut the amount of fuel consumption and time necessary to cook something. I have three sizes, all bought at yard sales for about five bucks each. Great for cooking on an electric, gas, coleman fuel or propane stoves. I would be reluctant to use one on a wood cook stove due to the inability to regulate the flame accurately. "flatsville"

Kerosene heaters can be excellent sources of heat but I encourage everyone using or considering buying one to thoroughly learn about their proper use, as well as risks. Lots of info on the web (do a search on "kerosene heaters"). An article in our local paper ID'd supplemental liquid fuel heaters as the number one cause of ignition in home fires for the years reviewed.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not bashing them. Just don't want anyone to have a fire or get burned (or worse). ...Tim

Hi Ed

>>...and the Kerosene heater is good insurance after seeing Montreal's
ice storm last winter.<<

I thought using a Kerosene heater in-doors was risky because of the fumes.

Comments please.
