It looks increasingly like the rebels are in a bit of a bind.

The cease fire talks were scheduled to happen today yet no talks and the rebels seem like they are blaming Kabila and Mugabe for continuing to fight. It seems to me that if you are winning you don't quit yet if you are loosing....well let's just say that rebel leader Wamba, who started the fight sound's more like a loser.

The rebels claim to "own" a large part of the DRC, yet what that entails is hard to know. I doubt if the rebels have the manpower or the stability to keep already won ground. An army with a rebel cause and little else is not geared up for ownership...

If the peace talks are off, it has to be because the Zimbawean/Congo alliance have gotten their act together and started to push the rebels back..yet this is Africa.
