Here is a little more information about the government's housing activities in Belize. I just posted what seems new, as this same story was covered on Channel 5, that I posted a couple of days ago. Housing Minister, Hon. Richard Bradley said that the idea of an opening ceremony for the house came from its owner, Kathleen Patnett. Bradley said that the construction of 19 more houses of the same type and specification as Mrs. Patnett's, will soon begin.</p> The house was built by Jacinto Rodriguez of JR Construction, who said that he completed the house in 21 days. He said that he is building another house of the same kind in Lord's Bank. He also revealed that he is negotiating with the Ministry of Housing and the Nurses' Association for the contract to build 48 houses for nurses. belizemall.com The point here is that the government doesn't speak in anywhere near the same numbers as the PRWT press releases. So the PRWT program there looks to necessarily be self generated on PRWT's part if they are to accomplish what they said they would do.
