This is a dog bites man story. A corrupt government official, what an innovation. It is human nature to be corrupt by power. That is why conservatives and libertarians are so passionate in our opposition to the liberal solution to every problem - giving bureaucrats more power levers to manipulate.

Liberals are the ones who should be incensed by corruption. It works against their interests and tends to make conservatives' case.
