Actually, thinking about this Cringeley column for two more seconds, it's kind of funny. According to Cringeley, Microsoft is going to walk into court and say to the judge in the DOJ case: "Please throw out the anti-trust suit that accuses us of abusing monopoly power, because we just closed an exclusive licensing deal that gives us a monopoly on executable content. That makes everything we did in the past retroactively ok!"
