Sean,

>>What do you mean network enabled version??? You mean multiple licenses for cheaper price???<<

In process of using DI and PM over the past few days, I saw reference to something costing $600 or $700. I assumed (likely my mistake) that the price bought additional function. From your reply, I take it the price is just a license thing. Thanks for pointing that out.

Paul

Sean, (or any Drive Image interested party),

Drive Image will restore images over the network just fine.

Upon trying to backup a drive over a network, couldn't find a way to select a network drive. I've reread your statement; does that imply DI will not backup a drive over the network? Since it operates in PQ/Dos, this would probably imply installing the net client under PQ/Dos which probably means no. But if my last statement is true, how then would DI restore an image over the net just fine? Or are the network capabilities only available if the "drive" in question is NOT the active OS drive thereby allowing DI to operate without reverting to PQ/DOS.

I am probably attempting to do something really stupid cause I haven't quite thought it completely through. (Like changing the oil but forgetting to replace the plug.)

I'll just cut a Zip image to accomplish my immediate goal, but am trying to understand the limits of the DI tool in general, so I've posted the above question for everyone's entertainment/enlightenment.
