You do not know the first thing about market makers. 1,000 of any stock is nothing. This is not the exchange with an auction. You have several market makes, select net, insta-net, soes. You might have a limit order of 40 1/2 in and 10 million shares can trade at that limit, it does not mean you are executed. When market makers see orders come up that are not being executed, that is typically a bullish sign. My point is that do not complain if you are not placing market orders. From what I see of Canyon Girl that the stock she bought was probably a great short! I wish I was on the other side of that trade.
