Hi Colleen. Personally I think reverse splits are the kiss of death, at least short term. I watched a company about 2 years ago that did a reverse split but luckily I did not own it. Did a 1 for 10 from about .05 hit a very brief high of .63 and has faded ever since. Currently at .03. Assuming you bought 10,000 shares at.05 prior to the split, you would then hold 1,000 at .50. Your original $500 investment (if held) would now be be worth the princely sum of $30 .....before commission. I am sure that there were many (always is) that had held the stock from much higher levels.

Not all are that bad but it is typical that they have a drop after the consolidation.

I was caught once where I actually made some money (just too stubborn to sell), but it took 4 years.

I would never, ever, buy a stock that I thought was going to do a reverse split.

JMO.

Cheers,
Dan

john has a way of growing on you. A Microbiologist should affectionately name an organism after him. I will work on that.

Colleen,I am really honored.

<<Any comments with regard to reverse splits from the thread readers?>>

The six reverse splits I've watched and/or participated in were all a disaster for current shareholders.

Reverses must be done on extremely strong news. I do not like them.

Boy, how did you get ahold of this rumor? I see it accomplished what i sent it out their for. I now know the source of the many bad rumors you guys put on these threads. The context was totally twisted as usual.
