ZP,

30 day expiration on the check

Thanks for yet another kick in the pants! <g> The "rebate request" is off in today's mail.

Looks like I'm basically shifting from 1 OS build to another: I'm trying to keep it clean. I was getting failures to complete shutdown/restarts on my install#3 of Win98. So far with install#4 I've got the ATI TV tuner working again and no signs of unstable registry so far. (Some day I've GOT to read that registry chapter!) A few more pieces of hardware to pop in and install drivers for.

I'm approaching readiness to move apps onto install#4. I'll probably give magic mover a try after I take another drive image. The question I have is where should I install the PowerQuest suite? I've got them all installed on the inst#3 partition. While I'd like to comply with the contract BS, clearly the legal department drove that issue with little input from the tech weenies. So beyond a certain point I am prepared to ignore the darn document (well short of overt abuse) and make a technical decision concerning my own partitions/lan.

Perhaps I should install DOS 6 as a low overhead OS to run the PQ suite from. I've got those disks around here somewhere, just saw them... <g>

Anyway, apologies for running the topic into the ground - although all topics do seem to end there. <g> Any thoughts appreciated.

Paul
