Tech,

there are a lot of players in the industry that do not like the abuse of power that MSFT wields around. If the DOJ loses this trial, I would predict that the opinion polls would only get worse for against MSFT.

Sorry, the only people cheering for MSFT are the Coat-tail riding ISVs and the shareholders. The rest of the industry want a MSFT that believes and promotes open standards and plays fair (i.e. lets a good start-up be encouraged to develop new and innovative technologies). If MSFT wins, then say good-bye to innovation in our industry because MSFT take this win as a message that they are allowed to break anti-trust laws.

So, your prediction on Opinion Polls is inaccurate IMO.
