To put it in layman's terms, I guess that what Farber is trying to explain is that an automobile capable of carrying two passengers and their luggage at a top speed of 150 miles per hour is more efficient than a car with a trailer capable of carrying two tons of manure at a top speed of 50 miles per hour. Therefore, Microsoft should be required to market the car and the trailer separately -- and leave the trailer hitch off. ;)

>>> Parallel to this, any developing tools software should not include any run time libraries.

I think MSFT should include a free pound of Starbuck's best with every copy of Windows. That's to keep us awake while we try all night to upgrade our systems safely. I would also like you to include a fifth of Stolichnaya for the celebration party the next day, or week.

Furthermore, I think that if I were to drink Beefeaters instead for the installation celebration, you should invalidate my 'software license'. Since there's no warrantee of any kind, explicit or implied, for Windows software, to invalidate, AFAIK. And of course, were that to happen, my Internet connection should from then on run intermittently, if at all.

Cheers,
Chaz
