I read a little more about that story -- woman was a homeless single parent. Probably pretty marginal. I don't know whether she really had the capacity for willful neglect ...

But I agree with the last sentiment: those who are wealthy -- includes everyone who posts here to one extent or another, ought to consider others -- it is only money, but they are human beings.

Money has nothing to do with stories regarding Child Abuse- which is what the story you quoted was about. Blame the ACLU and other crusaders for justice for allowing the mentally ill more freedom in our society and also blame advocates who place parental rights above welfare of the child.
