Word from the Intel thread is that the Katmai will be available to OEMs on January 3. At least for evaluation so they can start integrating them into systems for the February 28 launch.
Let's hope that AMD already has the K6-3 in the hands of some OEMS. <G>

As far as yielding the K7...It's my understanding that FAB 30 will start at .22u...this should help the die size? As far as beginning yields on the K7, anything right now would be a far out guess.
On the other hand, I expect that AMD has taken the possibility of initial poor yields into consideration...in that they will do what they can do early on and add more features later.
