Money magazine had an article regarding Day Traders who do nothing but day trade. There are some brokerages which require $25,000 just to get in the game. Day traders buy in chunks of equities then sell them minutes if not seconds later as the price of an equity moves just a few points. (I can't remember the brokerage that was named right off hand)
The article was in the September or October issue. (I think that's were I read it).
