The way to make money in Amazon is to "trade the range" until after Jan 4th when it splits. I'd be careful on either side of the range between 180 and 220. Sales should be spectacular this season as buying on the Internet is almost as cool as trading in Beenie Babies or those furry gremlin things.

Bears must recognize the fact that this stock IS NOT your average short play as it is driven by exceptional market forces. E-commerce will continue to grow to over $300 billion within four years (probably less) and that dramatic change in our society will continue to drive irrational behavior in the Internet stocks. They will go down violently at times but they will be riding the wider euphoria of the trend in ecommerce and the flood of new people onto the net. Only when competitive factors overtake market growth as the focus of investors and the stampede of new shoppers on the net decelerates will the irrational valuations come to an end. That may be 1-3 years out, IMO. It's easy to say these stocks are over-valued by any conventional yardstick. It's much more difficult to say whether they won't become even more over-valued in the future.
