Another interesting point is that "business to business" net commerce is expected to enjoy the largest monetary growth.

e-comm.internet.com

"On the upside, nearly all experts believe that overall e-commerce will increase exponentially in coming years. Business-to-business transactions will represent the largest revenue: the eMarketer newsletter and Web site (www.emarketer.com) projects that it will jump to $268 billion in 2002, up from $5.6 billion in 1997. And online retail will also enjoy drastic growth. eMarketer projects a jump to $26 billion by 2002, up from $1.8 billion in 1997. Areas expected to grow include financial services, travel, entertainment, and groceries. "

Note that ONSL is ALREADY in the business to business arena, as Kaplan has stated in previous interviews, ONSL's sales come mainly from business to business transactions (percent is assumed 65%). ONSL is also in the retail marketing business. They are also in the person to person auction business. So, they're moving on all fronts.

ONSL doesn't need to establish extensive name recognition relative to say, a Compaq, in order to compete with big name bourses - everything is currently equal on the net.
