David,

In the Select Comfort IPO last week, I requested and received from Schwab 1,000 shares. Of course, this was not a high demand internet IPO but it did show a good first day increase of 3 3/8. I'll take free money anytime anyone wants to give it to me.

Like everyone else, I requested a bunch of INSP but think I'll be lucky to get an even 100 shares.

The Select Comfort, InfoSpace.com and a secondary offering on NEON are the first offerings that have been made to me by Schwab although I asked to be notified on IPOs some 6 or 8 months ago. Are these the first offerings in which Schwab has participated or were there earlier offerings?

A quick few bucks in an IPO sure makes their $29.95 commission look more competitive.

Regards
Dave
