Regarding the injunction against Prassi Software from selling certain of its CD recording products, Adaptec's concerns may have been justified. The injunction prevents Prassi from selling 3 or 4 products for a year. One of them received some favorable recognition from EMedia and was to be bundled in Sony CD recording products. See link:

Prassi still wants a trial and continues a counterclaim against Adaptec and two of its officers:

From what I gather from the Prassi web site, Prassi Software House was founded in 1978 in Italy and sometime later merged with Incat Systems where it developed Easy-CD Pro in 1993. Adaptec acquired Incat in 1995 and the Prassi founders left Adaptec to create Prassi Software in September 1996. Apparently they had signed a non-competitive agreement with Adaptec. Then they allegedly developed their own brand of CD mastering software which was in direct competition with Adaptec's products and used some of the same code.

The injunction must be very painful for Prassi.
