Eric, yes i have had same type back office problem with E*Trade regarding stock dividends. Reorg dept is in charge of straightening it out, but as with all bureaucracies...takes time. This is one disadvantage of online brokers when dealing with certs. Certs in general can be a pain.

Eric,

Call Oxford Transfer and ask for Gina, she has helped me in the past in regards to certificates.

Eric,

That's funny......My account has 4,875 extra shares in it now. Sending flowers to the Transfer Agent was a good idea!

I'm joking, Eric........

In late 1996, BANY did a 1 for 40 reverse as part of a reorganization.....I believe.

I'm guessing that the transfer agent went ahead and reversed yours again for you......thinking your certs were pre-reverse......Or your broker pulled certs of the pre-reverse stock for you.....when they should have been post reverse.

Look at it this way....if it had been a 40 for 1.......you would be happy as hell with those sons of bit**es.

Sitra can get it fixed for you.....I would think.

I use a full service broker. He takes long lunches....at fancy places, but he could fix this type of thing for me........I don't think discount brokers care to spend a lot of time with their clients. Save a dime...do the time....or something like that.

ETrade appears to be as bad as SureTrade was when I had them. I understand that AmeriTrade is just as bad. Rule of thumb...stay away from online traders with the word "trade" in their name!

I'm happy with NDB. They don't show my shares in the account yet but my statement came on Monday and it showed the BANY dividend as "unrated". At least they know it's coming.

Good Luck! I'm sure you'll have it all straight by Friday...and a transfer to a new broker on Monday!

Mike
