My opinion, though I'm long wcom, Armstrong is well on his way to revitalizing ATT. T will be a formidable rival in offering end to end services. Once they complete the Tci deal, they will begin working on upgrading the cable network to offer local phone, data, and who knows what else to consumers. Ebbers has his hands full just trying to integrate MCI into the Wcom corporate culture. Lots of ex-MCI defections (though this could be by design to lower costs). Hope wcom mgmt. can maintain efficiency while completing the integration. Everyone seems to think that they can.
