responding to this message from W. Luther on Dec 9 1998 9:46AM EST >> must you SHOUT...an investment in WAVO?...give me a break...if your're investing in it and feel that it has long run potential, why would you worry about someone shorting it? eventually the shorts will cover, and the more short covering you have the more demand there will be for the stock, which will serve to increase the price, no? ...heck, maybe they'll have a press release announcing that WaveTop is now available thru KTEL's site, resulting in a 20 point pop and causing a major short squeeze!!!...in your dreams!!! Wade -- neither long nor short this piece of $%%#$^#<< WADE-----READING COMPREHENSION 101 Anytone can clearly see, that the "hold safe" notice i have been posting, is only directed toward anyone who is already long or is contemplating it. It is not a "SHOUT" to invest in WAVO, as i do not wish to push my trading or investment desicions upon anyone, like you appear to be doing. You claim to be neither long nor short but refer to this company as "this piece of$%%#$^#<<". If you feel that strongly why don't you short it, and i will make an exception to what i am doing, and let your brokerage borrow mine. I'd take possession and hand deliver them if you would like. You trash the company, you have no position, so my question is what are you hoping to accomplish? Spectators make no profits in this profession. I also would like to see a little improvement in the fundamentals as well, however i feel like this is right on the horizon. You have to have some respect for a company that is aggressive in their R&D. GERALD WALLS-- Same question for you; Why continue a dialogue here? You state you have no position, and probably never will. Most people would not waste any more time debating, but spend it productively researching other potential investments. If this is an integral part of your investment educational process, then i apologize if you perceive my question in any offensive light, as it is not intended that way. In response to your post to me: I have a vested interest in my position in WAVO and will do all i can to protect it. Share price movement is affected by many things, one being supply and demand, so to some extent an "us vs. them" mentality becomes a valid part of the stock evaluation model. Good Luck eom
