Impeachment Point Man Lets Speaker Warm Up nytimes.com

DeLay, a 51-year-old former pest exterminator from Sugar Land, Texas, is practically itching for a fight. "They tried to demonize Henry Hyde, they tried to demonize Linda Tripp, they tried to demonize Newt Gingrich, so I guess I'm the next candidate," said DeLay, whose nickname is the Hammer. "I'm ready for it."

Good for him. It's all politics, K. DeLay is as non-partisan and professional as Newt and the adulterous papal knight Hyde. Oh, and a little shot on the adulterous papal knight, that episode was about contemporaneous with the Clinton alleged draft dodging, that lead us down the ever so substantial "unit" business. And whatever happened to all that new evidence, anyway? Happy to be engaged in substantive debate, as ever. On a past topic, a couple news items you may have missed:

Finding a Common Foe, Fringe Groups Join Forces nytimes.com

Not to engage in any fear mongering or anything. Then there's this one from the NYT, last Friday December 4:

Inquiry Criticizes A.M.A. Backing of Abortion Procedure Ban - not currently available on line, but I copied most of the article here, in www2.techstocks.com .

It's all politics, K, if the moral reformation wing wants to push this stuff, that's fine, I'd just like to see the politics clearly stated. Just as I would have like to have the politics of impeachment clearly stated before the November election, despite how "unknowable" it all was.
