I'm just glad the Reddy's invested ALSCs cash wisely and, if I remem-
ber my calc'n correctly from last spring, have enough liquid assets
(stock) to draw on for about 14 quarters. Since the Asian meltdown
the (USC)stock value probably dipped, but my guess is they still have
enough to survive another year or more. The foundries seem busy still.
Someone posted a .18 micron line width article on YAHOO! but I think
S3 probably has a direct investment in UMC, rather than the article
referring to the USC joint venture as the poster suggests ( I could
be misinterpreting the article though).
