Need info on extension conflicts with Personal Hotline. I'm running a separate extension set for Hotline that also includes Remote Access, so that I can dial into the Internet to check for splits after downloading from DialData.

I would like to be able to run Excel with Hotline, but it looks like there is a conflict with Microsoft's Office 4.2.1 extensions. Disabling Microsoft from my standard set did not allow Hotline to run, so there are other conflicts there.

Does anyone have a list, or info, on stuff that conflicts with Hotline? I'm thinking about buying Conflict Catcher 8; any info on that?

Harry

Thanks for your previous assistance. I purchased Pro TA and subscribed to Dial Data and am getting acquainted with the software. I have another question now. I am wondering about the best way to enter the universe of stock symbols in the ticker picker. The Dial Data disk of symbols is in DOS format and I cannot open for batch import. Is there a way around this? Or is it simply not feasible or too overwhelming to load the entire batch of symbols into the Pro TA software taking into consideration download time and disk space requirements. Would I be better off to just start loading stocks I am familiar with and/or as I come across them on a piecemeal basis? I would like to have a sufficient universe of stocks to utilize the scanning features. In summary, how would you suggest I decide on the quantity and manner of entry of symbols to follow. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
