The rise in Korean is obviously steeper than warranted, but they do deserve some praise. First, the insolvent banks have been closed, second, the chaebol system is all but dead, and 3rd, they just paid back the IMF a chunk of the borrowings. Also, the PM did not blame the hedge funds when the Korean Won sank - instead they invited 'em for a dialogue. How quickly we forget that just a few months back, a protesting Kia worker lit himself on fire right on the picket line in protest of mass layoffs.
