>And gee, wouldn't it be great if this was actually reflected in the price?

I've been following this dog for years. It sells for 1.1 times current annual sales, which for a technology stock is unbelievably low. I'm at a loss to explain why over the last 7 months it's down 30% If you go back to 1996 it's gone nowhere except for brief spurts.

There's lots of griping about some dumber than dirt analyst who is a non-factor. There are many people smart enough to see through him.

The fact remains that a dart thrown at the newspaper 3 years ago would have given us better results that QCOM.

How many $50 stocks do you own that have gone nowhere in the last 3 years?

Speaking of dumb, can you believe Erikson? The problem is that the Swedish businessmen are some of the most stubborn on earth. They are losing to the benefit of QCOM.

Here's some stats that remind me of some damn utility stock:
Year 9-30 Stock Price EPS
1994 23 .30
1995 54 .56
1996 43 .32
1997 53 1.37
1998 50 1.57

Why the crap stock price? Perhaps the cell phone business is much more mature than we can understand. Maybe it's Asian or SA exposure. Maybe it's the bad press for MOT. Whatever it is it's tarnishing the stock price of a good little company. Stockholders deserve better!
