<< crude oil production lowest since 1954, DOE says >>

This MUST be addressed by the powers that be... I believe it is being addressed politically with arm twisting of Saudi & OPEC by the US. We can NOT afford to have our 2 most valuable National Security oriented Industries - Steel & Oil; decimated by foreign over-production. Tarriffs, embargo's etc. are not realistic or probable nearterm, but arm-twisting and political pressure at the highest level is. We must act now.

When we permanently ''shut in'' wells and lose our land based production base, or lose companies and a part of an Industry; it's time to act. " Lowest production since 1954" ; if this headline isn't on the ''right'' desk's at the Pentagon and in Congress & the Senate; we've got a problem Houston...

For this reason, I do not think that low crude prices we be ''allowed'' to continue for as long as analysts or The Street may think...

PS hmmm; lowest production since 1954, yet worldwide and US demand is actually growing; but yet we have a historic over supply ?
...something about those statistically ''missing'' 300 Million Brls of Oil sounds real interesting right now ???
