Robert, I'd bet that whoever's president in 2001, he or she won't have to worry much about an independent counsel anymore. The law's up for renewal this session, isn't it?

As to George W, he may be ok, I don't know much about him. But the moral reformation faction wasn't kind to his father, and I doubt they will give George W much more slack. Can he get through the primaries? Would he want to try? Who else might the Republicans run?
