I f*rt in the general direction of your "bipartisan" list. "Bipartisan"? Griffin Bell is the only Democrat that I can see. Indeed, the list of scholars was a veritable "Who's who" of the Federalist Society, the enclave of conservative lawyers. I think Steve Calabresi is a founding member, and Brad Reynolds and Ted Olson are their poster boys. I will agree with you on one thing though--it's a ridiculous exercise to put up testimony from historians and constitutional scholars who comment on whether the President should be impeached. It's pointless and unconvincing. I personally don't care what Schlesinger or Tribe thinks about impeachment. Also, I don't care what Watergate veterans think. I found much more provacative the testimony yesterday from former federal prosecutors like Tom Sullivan (who has no political pedigree) who said that in his experience a federal perjury conviction would not be pursued under the circumstances presented by the President's case. That's the sort of thing that I think is relevant and important to know.

In any event, you're tilting at windmills. The President is here to stay, and it's something y'all are just going to have to deal with.
