I agree that its a sad prospect for the nation to deal with this mess.

The one person that could put the national interest above all else and bring a quick end to this will not ever do so... thus we are stuck with this mess.

On the bright side.... we are watching history in the making.... this will be in the history books for our grandchildren

No offense, but, you're dreamin'!! The trial would not even start until January Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Senate must convenen for the trial and the chief Justice must be there by 1 PM the day following the impeachment vote.

You make some good arguments concerning the downside of a trial.
Clinton should have resigned by now. Anyone hear any polls concerning resignation lately?

ps: I do not think they are lowering the standard of impeachment, they are raising the standard for the pres. I hope the next pres. is so clean, he squeaks when he walks. I am glad it won't be me.

pps Ms, Waters in the hearings just said she was speaking for her slave ancestors. Is that a "race card"?
