You know, I was going to type up this long winded reply about how debentures work, but then I remembered that Zeev had posted a really nice summary of how the floorless debentures can be a killer. Now remember that these should not be confused with fixed convertables. Debentures that can be converted to shares in a company at a fixed price can be both good and fair, depending on the terms. It is important that you learn the difference. Many newbies just hear the word debentures , panic, bail, and lose money. ---------------------------------------------------------- There is a fella named Kernagan that likes to finance small companies, usually otc or struggling Nasdaq, with floorless debentures. He has killed many companies in the manner that ZEEV is about to tell you about. Some examples are APTX and AGTI. Remember, learn the difference. Don't be a victim. here is the link... Message 5368910
