Michelle,

I was very pleased - even surprised - with Oracle's numbers. As I posted on the ORCL thread, they keep beating earnings expectations quarter after quarter now. The e-commerce spin they've put on this earnings release is great, because they own that segment w/ 70+% of e-commerce sites running ORCL.

Do you get the feeling that e-commerce is on the edge of becoming legitimate from the consumer point of view? I'm reading stories of malls traffic being lighter than expected.... I'd be surprised if the internet has alot to do w/ that if true, but the psychology seems to be that e-commerce is arriving in force this Christmas. The number 1 thing though IMO - it's still to darn hard to find what you're looking for on the net. I'd rather shop online than go to the mall, but the search engine's aren't up to the task, and with the exception of online computer stores, and Amazon the CD sites, the sites are still relatively limited and clunky from my experience.

Agreed, this is good for ORCL and ITWO. The combination is working wonders for my portfolio right now.

**OT**- is anyone here following the company or use the service of Checkfree CKFR? If so could you send me your opinion on the company/usability of software/problems/etc. (Private e-mail is fine if you like). As the consumer moves more of his financial life onto the web, I'm thinking the odd's are good that a company such as Checkfree will be a winner.
