wren, in the big scheme of things, i'd probably rather have clinton than gore and i'd definitely rather have clinton than a republican. not that clinton is even good... or competent. the guy is a lying scumbag, however, i think his policies are better than the alternative.

having said that, i think the guy should face whatever congress throws at him. if we are going to glibly dismiss a feloneous (sp?) behavior, then i want a list of ok felonies and not ok felonies. if he robbed his lover (of course this isn't hillary ;-) for $1k should he face impeachment or is this a personal matter? if he bribes a judge in the lewinski affair should this be ok as the lewinski affair is a personal issue? where do you draw the line? what felonies are no big deal and what ones are serious?

this isn't about sex. it isn't about lying. it is about a well thought out attempt at perjury. indirectly, though still obvious to a reasonable person, he acted as though he was obstructing justice. telling lewinski what lies she could say. going over what he knew to be false statements with betty curry. why? bad memory? is anybody that dumb, da dumb, dumb? he was the guy with an infallible memory before he started lying to everyone including the justice system.

if he stays, ok. if he goes, we'll survive. but, he should reap what he sows.
