John, the real battle is slicing through the company induced fog -- and this is not something that "analysts" that work for brokerage houses know how to do. You would do better to read something from the credit ratings houses such as S&P. I think that's what Jim Kelley is attempting to do, but it is far from easy. One thing is clear. If you look at Compaq's statement on liquidity in their most recent 10-Q you will see that there is insufficient cash flow to cover what they have in mind. They have not delineated their exact course of action, but I have no doubt we will see more borrowings and continued factoring of A/R.

I am not picking on Compaq in this regard. I own a considerable position in NETA and am having the same problem. They have made so many acquisitions in the last year or so that it is impossible for me to guess where they rally are.
