VLSI CDMA chip clarification

Jim writes "VLSI deserves credit for..."

VLSI's CDMA chips are designed by DOT Wireless in San Diego.

DOT is a small startup staffed bt ex-QCOM and MOT employees.
Kudos is due to DOT.

Jim, re

VLSI needs to at least partner with another company so as to minimize the impact of this and other investments they need to make in the upcoming year.

Are you aware of any effort being made to actively partner with someone else? Back when Beyer left and the supposed LSI deal was nixed by Stein, I think the thread's consensus was that Stein wants to do things on his own.
