j g,

Everyone has lied in their life. In fact
there have been studies that show people
usually lie several times a day and, the
person who is the target of the lie is
usually their spouse. However, lies under
oath are a different story.

I have been under oath twice in a court of
law. The first time I was suing this guy
because his dog bit me. I told the truth,
he took the stand, lied about the situation
and I was left with a pile of medical bills
and permanent nerve damage to my left arm.

The second time I was under oath as a juror
in an assault with a deadly weapons case.
Something came up toward the end of the case
which required me to go before the judge,
under oath, with the guard, court reporter,
the bad guy's lawyer, and the DA. Even
though the last thing I wanted to do was
explain what had happened, I told the truth.
I did not lie.

Have you ever been under oath? If you ever
are, may I recommend that you do not lie.
It is a felony crime and they can and will
prosecute you for it. It is not a joke.
If you do not believe me, ask a cop, or a
judge or a lawyer or an IRS agent what they
think when you make false statements under
oath.

-John

First, I agree as to the necessity for doing away with the IC law.

Second, of course I have lied (mainly to spare someone's feelings but I have certainly lied) as we all have at one time or another.

Third, as an officer of the Courts IMO, Clinton's conduct (perjury, obstruction, abuse of his office, subornation of perjury) is indeed an attack on the fabric of our system of justice and a violation of his oath of office. The rule of law is important for the stability it adds to our society. This swine has NO concept of morality and more importantly, that he is not above the law. He has sullied the highest office in this land to cover his own ass in a civil lawsuit. The man is despicable and needs to be removed. Political or not, he has NO ONE to blame but his own inability to keep it zipped. The man is not fit to clean the Oval Office, never mind live in the WH. JLA
