True VISX just received approval,however,Unlike other laser procedure which actually cut the eye, SNRS's LTK shapes the underlying cartilage without having to touch the eye. Recovery is rapid,and patients are very satisfied. Approximately 200 million people in the Americas and Western Europe are candidates for this procedure. Good management also runs the company and understands the industry. Also, the laser equipment SNRS uses is much less costly then the VISX model, and requires much less training. People in the OPT. field have invested quite a bit in SNRS due to their positive reaction of the procedure.
