Valueman and others,

Question, I see from reading the various news clips that the deadline to sort this all out is the end of year. Does that mean that between now and the EOY that we will get a result of some sort or will it drag out longer than that ? There's not much time left in 98 !!!

Thanks
JC.

This is the way I see it playing out:

Ericy continues in its self destructive ways. Its too late for them to change.

CDMA evolves into 3G gradually becomes the predominant standard in the world. QCOM becomes cash flow positive in Q2 1999 profits and Revenue grow at 40 to 50% over the next two years. Stock reaches $150 by end 1999.

Nokia and NTT DOCOMO become CDMAone proponents.

There is no ITU CDMA standard.

Ericy loses the IPR fight and Appeals.(Ericy stock goes to 10 by the end of 1999). I feel for the ERICY shareholders but any company that lies to its employees, customers and partners cannot do better.

If ERICY gives in and gets on the right path and licenses CDMAone and starts developing competitive products:

QCOM stock doubles within weeks of the announcement.

ERICY stock stabilizes and then rebuilds based on how well they do in the market place.
