I have spent the last 12 years working as an "expert" for lawyers. I have learned one certain thing from this experience. Lawyers have set the system up to bill. It has nothing to do with who is right or who is wrong. In order to bill, all things must be delayed and drawn out for as long as possible.

In fact good lawyers realize that even if they in a superior position they will get even more if they "let the other side feed at the trough."

Believe me that's what it's called.

I am very long QCOM,and have been sitting around for the last two years + and watched a tremendous bull market go by. I am optimistic and hope the stock takes off to where we all believe it ought to be, but don't get hooked into deadlines when lawyers are involved.

Announcement 22 December on the 3G cave in by Ericy on chip rate and agreement in principle to a single standard. Face saving for Ericy will be to call it something other than cdma2000. NOT VW40 or WCDMA, but something new. Ericy is going to pay a VERY large amount of money for that face-saving name change because it will be pretty much cdma2000 with a few bells, whistles and fig leaves attached.

The name change will swing the deal and be the last component of the agreement. There won't be a price attached to that name change, but the value will be tucked away inside the agreement on royalty amounts.

Yummy!

This is a prediction, not inside information.

I'm going with better than your best outcome Valueman. Eketahuna is the place! Beautiful little spot. It might be a bit quiet for the New York types.

[Sorry about the sloppy writing in my previous post - had to read it slowly myself to figure out what I meant. Oh well, nobody's giving me money for it.]
