<<To me, this indicates strongly that the Yosemite machines will be not only unveiled but also available at MWSF in January.>>

I agree. Apple has been executing too well to be caught that flat-footed. I'd think the machines will be available in at least a limited supply by early-mid January. One would think that Apple would at least have enough 333 and 366 mhz chips by now. Anybody know someone who works at the Sacto plant? Are they getting ready to churn out some Yosemites? We've already seen what Apple can do when it comes to cranking out iMacs under the gun.

<<It's bad news in the sense that Apple is losing potential sales for the rest of the quarter.>>

I think all the comments about Apple losing sales are still premature. (If the Apple Store is out, so what? Customers will just call MacZone or head to CompUSA.) We've got a few anonymous resellers claiming that they will be out of product soon, but so far no one has noted any shortages. How about it everyone? Does your local Mac source still have the G3 pros or not? Mine do. We should monitor the situation for the next 2.5 weeks, but so far, so good.

Apple cracks down further on gray market:

Anybody notice how Apple's profits took off right about the time that it cut co-op dollars and started restricting certain vendors and practices? It has helped, to be sure.

This is the first time I've heard Yosemite machines mentioned. Can you tell me a little bit more about this computer?
