EP - yes:Does any body know enough about the posters who got sued and their "information" to know whether the info they were posting was false or not? Of the three items I listed, one pertains to the current legal request posted to them - the other two pertain to a seperate stock. LGCY did face delisting but this has never happened. They were, in fact, granted a temporary exception recently. The posters continued to state their misinformation up until the legal notice was given. As I do not follow LGCY, I'm not completely familiar with other trangressions of the posters described in the document. Their pattern, however, is the same with every stock they touch - RMIL, AZNT, TVSI, etc.. On another issue, AZNT, the posters declared that AZNT had a purchase order with a third party, Sweet Factory. I directly contacted the CEO of SF, and he declared that no such order existed, nor would they be interested. Another poster from the thread contacted SF's purchasing manager who had the same message. Alas, the posters continued to "make up" numbers such as a "shipment for 127 cases being delivered" etc... A court order, received directly from the court, stated a position inconsistent with their views. The order, posted to the thread, was declared "false" by them. Later, actual transcripts from the trial were posted which did indeed reflect the veracity of the original document. The posters, however, continued to (and still do) state that the judge took a position favourable to their position. The judge, as seen through the transcripts, was completely at odds the PoV shared by S & R. No matter, apparently. They declared that the FBI issued a warrant for the arrest of a key figure in the AZNT stock dealings. Multiple checks with multiple people at the FBI revealed this to not be the case. Still, the declarations from them continued, that this person was a "fugitive on the run". These are just the first few examples "off the top of my head". A review of the "Spider & Rico LGCY Thread" and AZNT will reveal many others. The posters, under different identities, used similar false information tactics for RMIL (halted as of Dec. '97). Their "posting style" and other identities are familiar to many other SI members. It is dangerous and detrimental, at best, to investors.
