please call me bobby alan..I will answer you with a question..what other country is in better shape than the US..Japan..finally people are calling it a depression..any countries in Latin america..say Brazil..
truthfully I am longer viewing this global capitalism as country by country but just more of global cronism where huge conglomerates are taking control..
what country do you now see as a rival to US even with their massive trade deficit..
do you Euroland is going to be it..
again maybe living in NY has narrowed my focus..I just see growing trends..ie wonder how many small oil companies will survive..
wonder how many more gold companies will go under..wonder how many small retail businesses will survive..etc etc
But I remember of your last posts to me and you seemed to be telling everybody to bake bread..you forgot to tell everbody where they would get the time..
ps why did clinton get elected the second time? what choice did we have?
lesser of evil principles..
psps I subscribe to the theories that when things go to an extreme
they turn into their opposite

also remember in one of your last responses to me you had no sympathy for the farmer..hopefully the article from NY times will open your eyes a bit..you along with the farmer are getting screwed royally..
look at the markup in supermarket..their plight is your plight..
we are all connected..whether we like it or not!
if this happens in the oil industry..down the road..watchout! you don't have to eat pork but I think most of us are reliant still on traditional energy sources..
but you will probably mention how you use solar energy,a bicycle or cut logs in your backyard :-) or use a hibachi or have your own generator..
