John: As I said in a previous post: Message 6811967

IMO it's disingenuous, not you-the supposition, in suggesting that, according to polls, 75% of Americans don't want the president impeached. IMO the far majority of those 75% believe impeachment means removal from office. If the pollsters wanted a more representative answer they would ask the question clarifying what impeachment meant but that wouldn't reflect what the pollsters and Dems want to reflect.

John,

Polls, smolls. In gov't. as in everything, 20% of the populace knows the score on Clinton and the other 80% is just along for the ride whereever it goes. Personally I could care less if the Pres likes to have his private parts nibbled on by mountain goats so long as it is OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE and consenuous. In the Oval Office is the province of the people. If he lies about having sex with a goat at the Blue Moon motel, its a lie that although wrong I think many could accept as less than a high crime against the state. Lying about his sexual predilictions within the White House is not just lying to Hilliary and his soul but to 275 million Americans, including the 80%.

The majority opinion on this thread seems to be for impeachment based mostly on lies to 'the American people.' As most admit lying is part of everyday life, is the ciminal line only drawn when one testifies in a court of law... OR should we tighten up on liars everwhere, at every level, so that no lie goes unpunished?
